There are a lot of different styles and fits of shorts, something that not enough people realize or appreciate. The Deck Shorts from Indi + Ash are a stellar example of what we would consider to be among the upper echelons of shorts - cut with a comfortable drawstring waist, attractive 7" inseam, and three fully functional pockets, they're as flattering as they are comfortable (very).
The custom Tiger Lily print fabric is extremely special - achieved through kalamkari printing, the pattern is produced through multiple rounds of complex block printing work, and is colored using exclusively botanical dyes, including natural indigo, myrobalan flower mordant, and madder root (among other ingredients).
This special printing technique is complemented by the handwoven kala cotton fabric. Kala cotton is a wild organic cotton from India that is grown without any pesticides, fertilizers, or irrigation - growing perfectly fine on just rainwater and its own natural resistance to pests and disease.
They're finished with an adjustable drawstring waistband, and a tonal button fly with a woven drawstring.
