Inspired by knockabout work shirts from the 1950s onwards, the Dayton Shirt is your classic Garage work shirt, complete with camp collar, twin chest pockets, and comfortable short sleeves. The fit is pretty standard, breezy and unrestrictive but in general not too slim or too wide, with a comfortable body that wears well both tucked and untucked.
It's made with Freenote's usual stellar construction, including their usual 1/8" double needle stitching and durable felled seams. The hardware, buttons in this case, are lightweight tonal catseye buttons, and can be found the whole way up the placket as well as at the top of each chest pocket. After finishing, each shirt is also rinsed to account for any shrinkage and to help relax the fabric.
It's made from a super soft 5oz 100% organic cotton stripe twill from Japan. The lightweight fabric is perfect for warm weather, extremely comfortable and thin without feeling insubstantial. It breathes well and dries quickly, which are really the two main things we want our summer shirts to do.
Fits true to size. Wash cold and hang dry.
