We have ten colors of Horween Chromexcel leather colors available for the Steadfast Chukka.

Nine French calfskin colors, two suede colors and a brown Japanese tanned cowhide leather are available.

Contact us if you have any questions about the leathers or need help putting together a build spec. We're happy to help you make your dream pair of boots.

Leather Notes
Horween CXL - Oka Black is a tea-core leather - dyed brown, with a black topcoat - this leather will fade to dark brown in high wear areas. It's the same Black CXL used on regular stock John Lofgren boots.

Horween CXL - Shin Black - this leather is dyed black all the way to the core of the leather - it will fade to a dark charcoal color in high wear areas, but the black color can be restored with any quality colored boot polish.

Calfskin Leathers in Black and 2393 Burgundy are the same leathers used in the Black and Burgundy Steadfast Chukkas that we regularly stock.

John Lofgren's reputation for his Japanese footwear is legendary. His engineer boots are highly sought after, and every style he has released has sold out. the latest release, the Steadfast Chukka, is designed to be the all-rounder for your wardrobe, from jeans to chinos to suits.

These chukkas are made in Japan by expert craftsmen with the Goodyear welt construction all John Lofgren boots use, ensuring that they'll be resoleable and with you for years to come. The uppers are Japanese-tanned french calf skin, soft and comfortable.

All of the other parts are top-notch - the welting comes from the UK and the vibram soles come from the USA. They're leather lined with a rough-out heel cup, with washer-backed metal eyelets for longevity.

These run true to your size in Red Wing Heritage Iron Rangers or in the Alden Barrie last. We recommend choosing the same size as your John Lofgren Engineer boot size, or 0.5 size larger than your John Lofgren Donkey Puncher, Combat Boot or M-43 boot size.
