Part of what makes Mister Freedom so very special is Christophe’s stubborn refusal to be literalist when it comes to the American garment canon. What we have here is a third type denim jacket - aka the trucker jacket - but not really. Unlike many other spins on this archetype, no hand pockets were added; however the fit was tweaked to become more cowboy-like, slimmer and leaner throughout. The chest pockets were given a bit more of an aggressive angle, and button tabs can further adjust the fit from the back.
This batch is made from an ultra soft 100% cotton selvedge sateen twill that clocks in at a respectable 12oz. Produced by Sugar Cane in Japan, they require virtually no break-in at all, this fabric will only become softer and more comfortable with wear.
The details are all there - tonal “M” stitching on the pockets; brown donut buttons; unmarked copper rivets; visible selvedge lines. 100% cotton thread is used to chainstitch the garment together, and custom labels adorn the inside.
