Friend of the shop and Kapital Photographer Eric Kvatek is looking to downsize his wardrobe a bit, and has decided to part with a choice selection of Kapital pieces he's acquired over the years - including rare one-offs, samples, and no longer produced styles. He packed up a few boxes and mailed them off to us here at S&S, and now they're available for you to peruse from the comfort of your desk or smartphone.
An old-school 4-button work blazer sewn up from a heavy indigo fireman's cloth - featuring sashiko and boro (patchwork) details lining the collar, placket, and labels, the jacket is built to last. Cut with a tailored (but not slim) fit and two welted pockets with flap closures.
It can be difficult to tell at a glance whether some Kapital garments are weathered from wear or if they were simply made that way. This jacket features distressed details from production, but also has been lightly worn and exhibits some subtle (and purely cosmetic) signs of wear in the form of light fading on some parts of the fabric. As the body is indigo-dyed, it will fade continuously with wear.
