The Calico is a Freenote riff on the single sawtooth western shirt. ;This batch is sewn up in a 10oz broken twill denim from Japan. With a softer ;face than most right hand twill denims, the fabric has been rinsed to account for initial shrinkage and comfort, leaving it perfectly broken-in from the moment you put it on. Over time, this fabric will continue to soften and fade, developing a handsome patina ;from wear and washing.
The Calico is Freenote's slimmest fitting western shirt - however, it's not a slim fit shirt, it just runs more trim than the more relaxed Modern Western Shirt. The more athletic fit lends itself towards being tucked in, and looks great under a jacket, but the Calico relaxes well too - not being too long to wear untucked or with cuffed sleeves.
Japanese ;diamond snaps, curved pocket details, and the usual Freenote 1/8” double needle stitching all work together to make this your new favorite western. ;
