From hand-weaving to hand-knitting, traditional dyeing methods, and atelier-style production, they work to create truly unique and beautiful pieces that highlight the skill and history of the craftspeople who make them.
Inspired by Military outwear from the 1960s, the 4-Pocket Dani Jacket is an excellent medium weight piece of outerwear with ample and secure storage through the front. Taking design cues from jackets originally designed to be worn in tropical environments, it's unlined and breathable, with raised pockets that can hold a great deal of things and a classic collar.
It's made from "military herringbone" twill, handwoven with hand-spun 100% cotton yarns, it's an extremely textured and slubby fabric with a soft hand and phenomenal drape. The color comes from a blend of natural iron and indigo dyes, woven together into a dark charcoal-blue that will patina beautifully over time. The low-tension hand weave gives the fabric its unique and uneven texture, and the herringbone pattern breathes easily in hot and humid weather.
The whole thing closes up with corozo nut buttons that compliment the fabric in both color and texture. The back features a large inverse box pleat for additional ease of movement as well as an adjustable half belt to bring in the waist if you so desire.
True to size with a relaxed fit. Wash cold and hang dry.
