Based on denim work jackets from the uncertain decade after the conclusion of WWII, orSlow have tweaked and updated the original into a more modern and minimal interpretation. Cut with a relaxed, roomy body, it layers well over sweatshirts and flannels (but looks great just worn with a tee).
The fabric is a 100% cotton, indigo dyed 9oz denim from Japan - it's been given a single wash to account for initial shrinkage and dye loss. The fabric is subtly hairy, with white cotton neps throughout, less prevalent from a distance but immediately noticeable up close. Over time, the indigo dye will fade with wear and washing, taking on new highs and lows specific to how you wear the jacket.
The front closes up with custom orSlow brass buttons (same with the cuffs), and features one segmented chest pocket and another flap closure chest pocket with a brass snap. Two large bucket pockets wrap around each side of the jacket, just above the hem, perfect for stuffing your hands into, or filling with small and precious objects (cell phone, small bird, credit card, matches, floss).
