WWII-era Submarine Jackets may well be some of the rarest military garments around these days, as there were very few produced and few issued. Those that were issued have not circulated much around vintage and secondhand markets, creating an air of mystery around original submarine jackets.
The jacket features two large flap pockets at the waist, as well as a tall shawl collar - designed to be worn up for additional wind and weather protection. The chest is wide and roomy, great for layering over other garments when the temperatures really drop.
Black Sign's interpretation of the Submarine jacket is the most luxurious we've seen. Using a 100% cashmere herringbone twill (milled in Italy), this lighter weight (but inarguably softer and more comfortable) spin has a remarkable drape and feels incredible to wear, even just over a tee shirt.
