With a stylistic focus that zooms in on the era where denim transitioned from "workwear" to a casual fabric, Fullcount were the first brand to start making their denim from hand-picked Zimbabwean cotton, which is famous for its long staple length (granting it both greater softness and durability than short staple cottons).
Produced in celebration of Fullcount's upcoming 30th anniversary, these jeans feature the most rigid and stiff denim we've (possibly) ever encountered. Based on the famous WWII models from the very well known San Francisco jeans brand, they replicate the scarcity-inspired details of jeans from that era - reduced rivet usage, simpler patterning, and HBT pocket bags.
The 0105 fit is a wide leg straight fit jean with a comfortable high rise and a relaxed top block. The widest of all our Fullcount fits, the 0105 is a great casual straight leg jean that's extremely pleasant and easy to wear, looking great with just about any (cool) footwear you can find (good pants won't fix bad shoes, as we say in the 'biz). Though these are a more relaxed fit, they don't look particularly exaggerated in proportion, and are a very flattering shape that we recommend to anyone interested in trying wider leg jeans. This edition of the 0105 features an extended back rise, for even more comfort through the seat.
The 14.4oz selvedge used for these jeans was developed with a very specific inspiration in mind. One of the "holy grails" of the vintage world is finding a brand new pair of deadstock jeans unworn at the bottom of a mineshaft - this fabric is Fullcount's best interpretation of what that would feel like, following decades of oxidation and soaking up dust. These are obviously not dusty at all, (they're very clean) but the fabric is as rough and rigid as something found at the bottom of a mineshaft, and will age remarkably over time, softening considerably with wear and washing.
The trims are also worth noting, as they're on par with the excellent fit and fabric - custom Fullcount copper rivets and 100% cotton thread keep everything held together, while custom Fullcount metal buttons close up the waist and fly. On the back, Fullcount's goatskin tag sits above two roomy rear pockets.
Raw, unsanforized denim - these are cut large and will shrink to tag size over the course of the first 1-3 washes. Wash cold and hang dry.
