    The Calico is a Freenote riff on the single sawtooth western shirt. Cut with sloping, asymmetrical pocket flaps and a slightly curved yoke to match, the Calico has all the traditional Western details, but with a slightly more contemporary overall feel, making it very wearable in wardrobes that lean both more and less Western. 

    For summer, Freenote have modified the Calico, cutting it with a shorter body and short sleeves, perfect for wearing untucked and on a hot day. The whole thing closes up with Japanese diamond pearl snaps, and features the same Western details as the long-sleeve Calico shirt - a western placket, two chest pockets, and Freenote's usual 1/8" double needle stitching.

    The fabric is a 100% cotton jacquard fabric with a diamond pattern woven into it. The inner face of the fabric is textured, and features soft neps around the edges of each diamond, while the outside has a more subdued and flat texture.
