The 6-eyelet chukka, aka the "3 1/2 boot" in Alden terms is on the secret menu when it comes to Alden makeups. We love it because it locks your foot in tighter than their standard chukka, and it has an aggressive stance to it.

For this makeup, we chose navy chromexcel from Horween, parked that on top of the chunky double waterlock oak-tanned sole, and held it together with a 360 degree flat welt. Barrie last - contact us if you're unclear on how to size Alden shoes.

If we are out of your size, or you need a non-D width, please contact us to be waitlisted for the next release of this boot in about 12 months

  • Navy blue Horween Chromexcel leather upper
  • Full glove leather lining
  • Barrie last
  • Color-matched eyelets
  • Flat welt welt all around
  • Double waterlock leather sole
  • Antique edging

Further details

Alden has been quietly making shoes in New England since 1884. They are one of the last remaining independent American footwear manufacturers. Best known in the US for their 401 boot - the "Indy" boot, they've had a resurgence in the last few years as quality and heritage have come to the forefront in menswear.
