This Week's Staff Favorites: Oct 21st - 27th

Another week, another staff round up! This week, staff from every location had something new they were really excited about. We all have our own tastes, and this is just a little way we can share it. Check out the New Arrivals making us happy this week:

The Knit Warmhood is such a perfect 1st PAT-RN piece: handsome, comfortable, utilitarian, and amusingly unique. It's made from their Italian knit herringbone, a spectacularly cozy virgin wool textile produced by a single operator on vintage machinery. To me, it's an ideal blend of modern and medieval, dressy and functional — shockingly versatile in spite of being a bodyless hood, the roomy front pocket is just icing on the cake.

- Elliot Young, Web Manager

These pants are the ultimate cool fit. Higher rise with a nicely fitted top block, roomy leg, and just a very thoughtful arrangement of patchwork throughout. This limited edition run is extra special with the work being done by Ms. Pukklang at Nara Denim in BKK. It’s like wearing a Klimt painting in Vivienne Westwood colors.

- Xavier Aslarona, New York Store, Operations

The CWE Blouson is a great example of Yuki Matsuda's design finesse. It's boxy and loose through the torso and sleeves, giving it a nice drape and a relaxed silhouette. As with everything Monitaly produces, the little details are all just right—the cinched waist and cuffs give the piece some structure, the rounded collar and angled pockets add a ton of character, and all the hardware feels sturdy and suits the garment perfectly.

- Dan Cuatt, Santa Fe Store, Sales

Every Fall, without fail, I search for the perfect European work jacket in wool. A jacket that is not a full on suit jacket nor a rugged cotton chore coat. A little dressy but not full tilt. And I always turn up empty-handed – until now! The Italian Jail Jacket hits all those notes, perfect as a standalone outer layer or layered up.

- Charles McFarlane, Words Guy

As a lover of oversized silhouettes, Monitaly has been a favorite of mine for a long time. Being 5'3" means that a lot of "oversized" stuff can make me look like a little kid drowning in my dad's clothes, but Monitaly has perfected the balance between oversized and tailored in a way that not a lot of other brands have. The Lazy Travel Jacket is no exception. Wearing it makes me feel like a very cozy gnome about to go out foraging for mushrooms and wild garlic (to fill up the giant pockets, obviously), which is exactly the vibe I aspire to.
